83 years ago, the Japanese pulled off a surprise attack on Pearl Harbor. “A day that will live in infamy.” I went to Pearl Harbor a few years ago and paid homage to the men and women who died that historic day. They gave the ultimate sacrifice for their country and the event catapulted us into World War II.
A few years later, I was born on this day. Is it any wonder that I have more than a passing interest in naval warfare and have dedicated a portion of my life to writing military science fiction.
Today, I ask you to take a moment to remember those who gave up so much for us to have the world and life we have today.
Also, happy birthday to me. I made it another trip around the sun, and I have a lot to be thankful for.
